Photographer's Note

It´s my last photo from my recent visit to Kolumba museum.I know the quality is not the best(I had to increase ISO value to 800),but I still like the mood of the scene created by the light.
Actually the whole museum was a great place for someone who likes simple architectural forms and unique,atmospheric light.

THis is a very, very interesting photograph!
For a still shot, there is a great sense of movement as the figure appears to be walking on water!
B&W was a good choice, the concentration is on the images and the composition.

outstanding composition. Love this 'dream-like' composition. Like the transformation in monochrome. It suits in no-colour. Great reflection achieved. Sharp shot, maintained the light very well. Very good framing. Tfs.

Fantastic Black n White photo, almost like we're getting 2 for the price of 1. They look like they're walking on water. Superb reflections, excellent symmetry and great minimalism. I'm a big fan of your B&Ws and this is a good example of why that is.

A nice way to take pictures in a museum, where people play a role in the image. Nice minimalism too.
I am not sure about the way you put the horizontal line, but the result is anyway good

Hello Krzysztof - What impresses me here is the subtle graduation from dark to light across the frame and the way the man's white t-shirt is illuminated and contrasts with the BG and the woman's trousers reverse the situation on the lighter side of the frame. Minimal and subtle where each element plays its part to great effect. Well managed and I see no sign of grain here, your result is smoothly flawless. have a great day. Rosemary

Another big smile from me on this, what a brilliant effect that the man is walking across water, such is the soft ripple of the reflection of the paintings. A perfectly symmetrical view too the people on each side balance the whole scene out perfectly. Its a great angle too, as it looks as if the lady on the right is holding that crucifix. The light is really beautiful, and somewhat symbolic. The lady on right, beside the cross and bathed in light, while the man on the left has his back to the cross and walks into darkness.

Of course, I am seeing things that are not there, but I always love a shot that makes me think :)

Black and white was the perfect choice here too, setting a dramatic and artistic mood, perfect compliment to the museum.

Hello Krzysztof.
A very bold b/w picture, taken with good timing and an awareness of the importance of space. I like the way your own picture reflects the minimalistic expressions on the wall. I like the way the shadowy left side gives way to the bright right. The only jarring aspect is the cross so close to the woman's shoulder. But overall, the tones are very gentle and the capture of the light and the atmosphere is excellent.

The quality is fine, Krzysztof, need not to worry about that, the polished smooth floor creat a feel of walking on a watered area. Perfect showing this effect.
Two figures on sides gave life to the relatively empty hall around three paintings. Nice photo indoor's.

Ahhh yes, I've been anxiously awaiting this one to get posted here. :) You already know how much I like this shot, but I'll say it again none the less...outstanding! This exemplifies life imitating art, and doing so in a black & white format pushes it even further along that ideal. This pretty much covers the definition of artistic! I can't put my finger on it, but there's something surreal about the imagery.

I love how the light fades from side to side, emphasizing the atmosphere and contradiction. One person in motion and one person resting still, both looking in different directions, couldn't have been better played out to express the contrast. Stunningly simplified to render a most impressive and poignant effect. Without doubt, one of my favorites from your collection! It really is compelling and sparks an immediate reaction of the senses. O to mi sie podoba szczególnie. Swiatło jest faktycznie niesamowite
Dwie postacie idealnie tworza kompozycje. Czerń i biel współgraja tu przeplatajac sie wzajemnie tworząc niesamowity klimat - popaa sie troche w zadumę.

Znakomite zdjecia z tego muzeum. czarno-biała opcja znakomicie sie tu sprawdza. osiagnąłeś niezwykly nastrój. istotne sa tutaj te postaci i ich odbicia. Jaka tam musi byc niezwykła posadzka, ze takie sa efekty. Gratulacje!
Wydaje mi sie, ze byłam kiedys w tym muzeum, ale przeczytałam w Googlu że teraz jest nowy budynek.

impossibile non complimentaris per questo scatto eccellente nel quale luce e riflessi creano una atmosfera magica in una composizione essenziale e perfetta.
Ottimo l'uso del bianco e nero che si addice a perfezione allo scatto colto in maniera sublime.

The scene is fabulous and you must be very pleased with it, I love how light and shadow play in the conception of the image, the superb reflexes are another attraction for the superb result of the composition, the characters are another important element of all the lady that placement, at the time of capture the photo, it seems that lle the crucifix in hand.
It's a great job my friend, and I love it.
Ideal viewing on B & W, which gives a nice range of grays.

This is a fabulous minimalistic picture. The shine on the floor gives the impression that the two people are walking on water. I like the way that one person is looking towards you and one is walking away suggesting no connection between them. The high iso and the b/w conversion has worked very well. A very well crafted image.

800 ISO can not are a mistake, for a black and white picture.
I see almost no grainy on these picture.
Almost a mirror picture through the nice reflective floor.
Sharpness and clarity make these picture very attractive

Oh, we like it, that`s for sure! A fine minimalistic scene beautifully captured. The polished floor looks like water. Amazing lighting and interesting how we goes from a very dark left part to the light in the right part. Another thing that strikes me, and enhance the powerful visual impact, is how the human presence balances with the lines of the painting, mainly in a vertical direction. The cross is a nice addition. Excellent work my friend.

modern art galleries are exceptional places for such creative photos. wonderful light management, contrast and minimalist composition. even the cross on the wall and the number 3 may lead to some religious readings. i love how they all look like reflected on water.

Widze, ze mam zaleglosci, od wyjazdu do Polski rzadko bywalam na TE.
