Commerzbank Tower

This is a view from the street Neue Mainzer Straße in Mainhattan, the financial district of Frankfurt am Main. The most prominent building is the Commerzbank Tower, the tallest building in the city and in Germany (259m). It was designed by Norman Foster and opened in 1997. The building at left at this side of the street is the Eurotower, the former home of the European Central Bank.

Interesting and impressive building. You captured the contrast between the modern and old architecture. The cars in the street show life going on at the foot of all those buildings.

Hello Lars, the more traditional buildings to the fore are looked over by the newer tower blocks.
The trees add a lovely touch of green amongst the brick, glass and stone.

Hej Lars,
Det är nästan så att jag kunnat tro att detta var på det riktiga Manhattan. Byggnader av det här slaget, både de äldre och de nyare, finns det gott om i NYC. Det är väl mest bara alla ställen för 'junk food' som saknas. Det är en intressant gatubild från en stadsmiljö som jag inte tror har visats så mycket på TE.
