Paulskirche

This is the Paulskirche (St Paul’s Church) in Frankfurt am Main. It is a former Protestant church. It played an important role in German political history as the meeting place for the Frankfurt Parliament in 1848-49, the first freely elected parliament in all of Germany. In the background, the Commerzbank Tower can be seen once more.

Det är en ganska mäktig kyrka och du placerade tornet fint parallellt med skyskraporna längre bort. En del små färgklickar lyser upp den molniga dagen med ganska dåligt ljus. Bilden är klar och kontrastrik trots dåliga förutsättningar.

Hello Lars, the white lines of the pedestrian crossing make a good leading line as we follow the road towards the church and the modern buildings.
It has an interesting history, first a church then a meeting place for the Frankfurt parliament, that must be unusual.
A grey day but the red bricks still stand out and with its shape and tower, it attracts our attention.

Missed this one. The red brick tower with the patina dome reminds me of the twin towers in Munich. Good sharpness, lighting and framing. Tfs!

I don't remember seeing this lovely church. You have well composed it next to the modern skyscraper behind., The contrast is striking!
The cloudy weather adds here a nice touch. Very pleasant colors, it feels so natural.
