Photographer's Note

This photo was taken a week ago in the Flea Market in Athens. Every Sunday a lot of Gypsies are going there to sell whatever you can imagine. This gypsy lady was selling old books! She was smoking one cigarette upon the other and socialised with other gypsies around. When i ask her to have her photo she refused in the begining but a second later seems she liked the idea so she waved "yes" but turned her face in the other side:-)
I kept the aperture in f8 because I wanted to keep the background in focus as, IMO, the colorful dress of the gypsy lady made a good contrast with the "normal" cloths of the people behind.

Tip: Always ask permission to take photos of people, especially when they are of different cultures, to avoid problems. Usually the answer is yes if you ask politely...If it is no never try to "steal" a photo...Always are interesting photo objects around so it is no need to cause problems mainly to yourself:-).
