Broken ship..., a photo from Evia, Central Greece

Photographer's Note

The title of this photo is taken from a famous poem and song called "Spasmeno Karavi (Broken ship)". The lyrics are based in a poem of famous poem from Chalkis, Giannis Skarimpas and the music is by Giannis Spanos. The original version of that song was sung by Kostas Karalis but there is a new version by Dimitris Mpasis & Anemos. The video-clip of this song you can see here...

The lyrics (Sorry, there are in Greek language. I don't know so much English to translate it well, but a translation to English from a Greek friend would be welcomed!).

PS: As my friend Stelios noticed, this is not the usual style I use for my photos and he is right. I forgot to write that this image is almost a HDR image, a kind of experiment for me. Kalimera Mpampis, a lovely picture here with vivid colours, I like a lot how the warm tones of the boat and the pier breaks the blue of the rest, well done!!

Kat' arxin einai mia poly efxaristi ekplixi na vlepo ki alli fotografia sou toso "konta" me tin proigoumeni kai episis xairoma pou vlepo mia diaforetiki prosengisi. Einai panta kalo na peiramatizomaste, eidika an o "peiramatismos" einai toso epityximenos oso stin prokeimeni periptosi. Oraio kadro kai poly kalos fotismos, exairetika xromata! Sygxaritiria!

Γειά σου Μπάμπη,
Ενδιαφέρουσα η τεχνική αυτή (almost HDR?) η οποία δίνει ένα περίεργο χρωματικό αποτέλεσμα. Δεν είμαι ακόμα σίγουρος αν την προτιμώ σε σχέση με την πραγματικότητα. Το καδράρισμα όσο και το θέμα της φωτό είναι όμως υπέροχα. Μ' αρέσει επίσης και η μουσική επένδυση.

As I write this, I listen to that wonderful song about the broken karabi or korab as we say... And I'm filled with emotions... And the wrecked korab from the start of the clip is with the Bulgarian colors;-)...
