This was not the time of the pandemic - this street was without tourists. One more beautiful small street in Corfu.

The city of Corfu stands on the broad part of a peninsula, whose termination in the Venetian citadel is cut off from it by an artificial fosse formed in a natural gully, with a seawater moat at the bottom, that now serves as a marina and is called the Contrafossa. The old town, having grown within fortifications, where every metre of ground was precious, is a labyrinth of narrow streets paved with cobblestones, sometimes tortuous but colourful and clean. These streets are known as kantoúnia , and the older amongst them sometimes follow the gentle irregularities of the ground; while many are too narrow for vehicular traffic.

The length of the street is giving depth and perspective to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the facade of the buildings. Have a nice dya.

Hello Piotr,
From the thumbnail I first wondered if you had returned to Gamla stan. The same colours and the same narrow street could be found there. Probably there are more street cafés in Corfu town, but it's strange to see them empty. But it's a fine photo anyway, and there is a nice atmosphere even without anyone drinking coffee or ouzo.

Czesc Piotr,
moze po prostu jest tam tak duzo pieknych miejsc ze turysci wybieraja cos innego.
Bardzo fotogeniczna uliczka, swietny zrobiles z niej uzytek.
Nie ma to jak powspominac cieple wakacje w paskudny jesienny dzien.
A teraz slyszalem jeszcze ze Polska jest cala w czerwonej strefie!

Hello Piotr,

Your photograph certainly captures the character of many of the narrow streets of Corfu. These streets were not built for vehicular traffic, which makes them quaint and intimate. The street furniture of lamps, signs and flower containers are well included.
Though the narrow street is not in direct sunlight, it is easy to tell, from the reflective surface, the the tiles are shiny, maybe even slippery!

Hello Piotr,
Taken before the pandemic and yet the street is almost completely deserted. We can see one arm at the back of the street :)
Presumably the photo was taken very early since I still see a number of houses where customers are normally expected. The signboards and the chairs that are outside show that there are a number of shops in this street.
At other times this will certainly be a street with a lot of life and fun.

Hello Piotr,
I love the perspective down this narrow street, which was remarkably quiet. The façades on both sides have a nice and warm colours and there are lots of fine details, like the many lanterns and signs.

Piotr, the lamps, the red flowers, the cobbled alley give charm to this small street. Shops and cafes are established in that area. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Piotr, this is a lovely narrow little street, where from your point of view we look towards the distance, and wonder what we will find there.
There are some lovely details, the pots of plants, the ironwork lamps etc., It must be very pleasant to walk these streets.
