This time it is not an alley in Corfu during the pandemic.

The city of Corfu stands on the broad part of a peninsula, whose termination in the Venetian citadel is cut off from it by an artificial fosse formed in a natural gully, with a seawater moat at the bottom, that now serves as a marina and is called the Contrafossa. The old town, having grown within fortifications, where every metre of ground was precious, is a labyrinth of narrow streets paved with cobblestones, sometimes tortuous but colourful and clean. These streets are known as kantoúnia , and the older amongst them sometimes follow the gentle irregularities of the ground; while many are too narrow for vehicular traffic.

Hello Piotr,
It seems to be 'all or nothing' in Corfu :)
Either the streets are completely empty or you can walk over the heads :)
It looks like a tourist paradise, certainly for those who enjoy a lot of hustle and bustle and for those who love shopping on their vacation.

Hi Piotr,a memory of good times,when the tourist were everywhere and the local people too were happy,working a lot. Now this alley is surely desert and the shops are closed,i hope better times soon,thanks for this nice memory from Greece. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Piotr, a style of picture i like showing the market activity in Corfu. The street contains many souvenir shops and the tourists are overwhelmed by all one's choices. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Definitely no social distancing there in 2017. A good photo with the foreground being in good focus but the distant part being neatly diffused.

So many people and visitors, well presented this narrow street of Corfu, now with the pandemic period such a view is strange ... it was a freedom time without risk and mask ! We hope find again the possibility to travel peacefully ...

This is more like I remember Corfu town, or for that sake most towns in popular places in the Mediterranean area. You captured the crowd well, but personally I prefer streets somewhere halfway between this and the totally empty last one.

This is obviously a shoppers paradise! The shops are close together, no vehicular access and the shoppers are free to look or buy!

You have captured this busy, narrow street, sharply, despite the obvious movement, and revealed the busy, social atmosphere.

I wonder what this street would look like in 2020! I suspect not as busy as this!!

This street is much busier than the one you showed earlier. The lively atmosphere is very nice and the shop façades add lots of details. Fine light also.

mogles na przekor zatytulowas te fotografie "social distancing", to mogloby przyciagnac wiecej uwagi :)
Pomimo ze w zasadziesamej uliczki tutaj niewiele widac, takie geste wypelnione ludzmi kompozycje majaswoj urok.

Hello Piotr,

What I remember most about Corfu town are the smelly sewers and confusing multiple bus timetables. But the beaches on the west coast and the fortress were superb. Tfs!
