Dochiariou monastery was founded in the 10th century by St. Euthymios, a disciple of St. Athanasios the Athonite and "docheiares" (ie. cellarer) at the Megiste Lavra Monastery, and is dedicated to the memory of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel. The monastery also houses the icon of the Virgin "Gorgoypekoos" or "She who is Quick to Hear." (Source: Wikipedia)

Hi Theologos,

i followed very carefully your series of photo of Mount Athos.Given the difficulty to access to it images from this place are always as rare as interesting.A dream that i hope will soon become a reality.
