On the top of the Oia village on the Santorini island, we can see old windmills. A typicaly view with around all these white houses.

a nice composition J. Like to see always the white-blue combination of Greece... Here with white architecture the blue of see contrasting nicely but I am surely missing some blue tombs there. You managed the light very well. Superb depth. Very well framed one. Tfs.

Une très belle village avec une architecture plus top surrealistic. L'absence de tout presence humain renforce l'impression encore. Mais biensur les couleurs sont extraordinaire, c'est une belle composition.

Bonjour Jean,

Maybe it's simply the windmills, but this has a slightly different feel to the traditional imagery of Santorini. Still traditional, yes...but with just a bit of a twist. Beautiful in every aspect, and the soft light enhances the atmosphere and warms up the scene. This must be a photographers dream to have so many seemingly endless photo opportunities, and you've come away with some great ones! Bonne semaine.

Hello Jean,

This is so very Greek with the white houses and the predominantly blue and white colour palette. The light does not appear harsh but there are plenty of lovely, contrasting sections of sunshine and shadows.
Your composition makes an interesting diagonal from the l/h side to the top r/h corner, where the focal windmill is strongly positioned.

What a wonderful scene, the tightly packed houses are crowned superbly by the windmill. I love the tight framing, accentuating just how packed these houses are. Beautiful crisp colours, lines and shapes. The square frame works well too.

beautiful image of a very high quality. We can admire the smnallest details here, almost feel like walking this lovely place in person. I like this labirynth of passages stairs etc.Very unique characteristic architecture indeed.
The dominating scene windmill is a very strong point of the composition.
