The vessel ΝΗΣΟΣ ΜΥΚΟΝΟΣ (Mykonos island) just arrived in the port of Syros island.The yesterday's dolphins you have seen, were from this vessel as is painted on its smokestack.

Syros is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. It is located 78 nautical miles (144 km) south-east of Athens. The area of the island is 83.6 km2 (32 sq mi) and it has 21,507 inhabitants (2011 census).

The largest towns are Ermoupoli, Ano Syros, and Vari (el). Ermoupoli is the capital of the island and of the Cyclades. It has always been a significant port town, and during the 19th century it was even more significant than Piraeus. Other villages are Galissas, Foinikas, Pagos, Manna, Kini and Poseidonia.

Kalispera Danos,
A great full view to the length of the ferry.
I can read Mikonos in the Greek letters - but you were in Syros taking this beautiful shot.

Hello Danos,
I recognise the chimney of this ship from your previous post. An impressive vessel, seen from a good angle. The light and colours are very appealing and I also like the reflections in the calm water.

Hello Danos,
Either the ferry is very large, or it's mainly your angle that makes it look gigantic. You captured it elegantly on a diagonal. The red chimney makes a fine contrast to the different blue tones of the sky, sea and the ferry's side. It's a sharp and bright photo with superb clarity.

και το καράβι νήσος Μύκονος Είναι το ίδιο
που πάει και στην Σάμο και με αυτό ταξιδεύουμε
οικογενειακώς κάθε χρόνο τον Αύγουστο Μου αρέσουν
οι σκηνές που διαδραματίζονται σαν κινηματογραφική
ταινία όταν φθάνει στο λιμάνι ή φεύγει!!!!!

Hi Danos

I can read Mykonos and Piraeus but what is that first word? (ΝΗΣΟΣ) Possibly 'Island', a generic term, rather than a place? Anyway it brings back lots of good memories as I have done a lot of boat travel around the Greek Islands. Tfs!

Very nice photo with this magnificent POV of the modern ferry that stands out beautifully of the beautiful sky and still sea. Its red fireplace is a powerful touch of color.
