Photographer's Note

Dedicated to my good friend and very talented photographer COSTANTINO and his love for seascapes. A person that helped me find my way on TE as a novice, a proud father of two excellent girls that used to be my students years ago.

The capture was taken at the same place as the previous post. The place is just amazing as everywhere you turn there’s something else to see and shoot. Just enjoy its serene beauty…

A wonderful picture . The composition is perfect . Colors , relection and light are outstanding . May be the effect in the sky (I ca't explain it , I'm not a specialist) is a little too much , but it is beautifull , though .

Brilliant, what colors what composition, amazing sharpness with beautiful light. When we read about photography we are suggested to keep things slightly off center otherwise frame looks usual and dead, but you have given a new twist to all theories like those, how beautifully you have placed the subject right in middle of all sides, overcast sky adding the drama and I loved the ropes holding those corners so beautifully. Great work!!!

A wonderful composition with so many beautiful elements: the quay and the ropes leading our eyes to the boats and their reflections, the misty mountains on the background and the dramatic looking sky.
Even under those very dark clouds the boats and the quay are clear and bright with a beautiful light on them.

I quite like this photo, the combination of very centered composition and dramatic, even if slightly exaggerated sky is interesting. I like a lot the line from the lower right corner, it's a nice way to lead the eye towards the boat and into the photo in general. the light seems almost like a liquid gold, pouring from the left. nice one :)

Merhaba Argiris, that's one of the most aesthetic photo I've seen lately. Not only its sharpness, but also the reflections on the water, impressive sky and mountain range at the background, all these components make your photo a masterpiece.

I don't know why, but I somehow feel that sky is the reflection of a wavy-angry sea... It feels really strange if you look that way. But to be realistic, reflection of boat on water is clear like a crystalline, sharpness and clarity of the whole image is perfect. I think boat is overly centered, just imho. A very nice dedication! Congrats...

Une scène en apparence anodine s'est transformée en une photo de grande qualité! Un seul point un peu plus négatif: un léger lens flare qui estompe quelque peu l'ambiance. Ce n'est qu'un simple détail, bravo, très bon travail!

in this shot of late your series on the water, the front face of the boat is very interesting to me.
it reminds me of the robot WALL.E. in the animation movie.

Hi Argiris, The reflections and your composition are wonderful here, as we always expect, but what more impressed me in this wonderful capture are those moody black clouds and the grayish color they gave to the water. Thanks to your lens that Karavomilos is very probably going to be visited by a lot of tourists this year :), though I'm not sure if it is good for such a nice place or not.

Another of your superb skies! I prefer this photo to your previous one because the foreground is stronger. The boat is larger and has more impact and the ropes and their reflections link the left and right of the scene so well.
A beautifully balanced picture, both in colour and composition.

Your boat scenery is getting more interesting! Fantastic reflection and the boat is much attractive here due to the tight rope! Very effective rendering of the sky to make this dramatic scene of the marina.

I suspect the title is breaking because the rope is tight at the right but slack at the left side.

I see this photo with its perfect reflection has surpassed your previous picture and it looks like the mast is holding up the clouds and your low POV really adds a graphic dimension from the lines. It is an excellent work; still I prefer the casual, lazy day feeling of your prior post.

La précédente me plaisait déjà mais celle est encore plus sensationnel, les reflets, la lumière, les couleurs sous le ciel dramatique fait de cette image une merveille, je pense que c'est la première avec un tel ciel qui passe dans mes favoris, Bravo

Hello Argiris,

What a wonderful shot!
The boat seems to adopt a personality staring back at the camera, with its fine reflection.
The jetty, the focal boat and the two subsidiary boats are all very well placed in the frame for a fine composition, despite the urge to off-centre images!
The light is dramatic with its silvery grey tones, casting an almost etherial light.
I love it!

belle photo de ce port de plaisance superbe.
Jolies couleurs, netteté magnifique qui nous montre des détails excellents.
Tout est beau dans la prise, le POV, la lumière, les couleurs, les nuages et toutes ces choses qui se reflètent dans cette eau calme et sombre.

Everything about this photo is a overplus, 3 level above others. Looking at it i cannot decide if i'm looking at photo that seems like a watercolour painting or vice versa.
