Photographer's Note

Mylos restaurant in Ayia Marina has a a narrow door at its closed terrace that leads to the jetty of the windmill. If we take our eyes from the windmill, Ayia Marina and the Castle for a minute, we'll be aware of a different point of view, towards Crithoni. This view is rarely noticed and shown, it's a kind of a backstage to the obvious postcard views that attract locals and visitors alike.

I find three colours have really boosted the whole depth seen from this arrow viewpoint; the pastel colour of the house, the mossy green and the very prominent rustic deep blue. They help the eye to hover around the mass detail of the rocky rugged shoreline giving us the in depth taste of the least seen area of the place. Exposure between brightest and darkest is subtle and pleasant to the eye, also worthy to note how the water sheen is real bonus boosting the 'small beauty' Good lens work, Congrats

Hello Ourania,
Sometimes it pays to look in another direction, just like lifting your eyes from the street level. In this unexpected view I see a fine green diagonal of mossy rocks leading up to the blue wall of the house standing on an uneven but quite clear opposing diagonal of dark rocks going all the way up to the village seen in the distance. You managed a very well balanced composition just by turning around a bit.

I like the point of view though I have might have been tempted to include slightly less of the wall on the left, assuming that was possible. A matter of personal taste; the composition works perfectly well as it is. Very pleasant lights and colours. The nicely illuminated lichen covered rock makes a very effective frame and anchor point.

Good idea to take this picture with the bright blue wall on the left. It gives depth to the picture now we have to look at the landscape from around the corner of the blue building.
It also give a good colour-contrast to the picture.
A very strong and attractive result.

Strange green plant on the rock, that with the blue wall contrast well the backside of this ancient edifice, and a good POV towards the rocky shore.
managed a fine clear view along the coast, I see a curving way down on the cliff, or maybe I am mistaken and it is only a stony-fence. Anyway, a different view, and well taken.

Sensational vertical composition, which allows us to see from the clear water in the foreground, to the different starters, the rugged coastline and houses in the high, blue facade with window of this house, practically stuck at sea, da a touch very powerful to the composition.
