Dilesi, a photo from Viotia, Central Greece

Photographer's Note

Just came back from a weekend relaxation in Dilesi,a settlement of Viotia perfecture 50km from Athens and opposite to Evia island. At the inventory of 2001 it had 3.126 residents. The name comes from Apollo [Dilio], that was worshipped in the region. In the harbour of the city you can see existing ruins of the ancient mole. Dilesi is reported also in the newer history of Greece, as in the Slaughter of Dilesi with Greek bandits kidnapped and finally murdered an English family of Lords.

Hello,

Nice shot very well managed with a good use of the colors of the lightning.
I appreciate also your composition in panorama with the stones of the foreground.
Nice also the stars effect with the diaph closed at f/14.

i guess i would call this "midnight sun"... the white and the red ones are stars okay but the big one is the "sun" for sure... probably it is not the most beautiful corner of Dilesi but the mood you ve managed to create here is awesome panagioti mou... simply amazing...

Hello Panagiotis! Different lights, strong and powerful with red and yellow in the front and further away the lights of the little town with the red light on the mountain letting the pilots know of the danger and what is in the way. Very nice and you bring me back to vacation mode :) I seem to be left alone and everybody drove down south, maybe to Greece ... Very good night work, I like it a lot. Regards, Barbara.

Παναγιώτη γεια σου,
πολύ ωραία η αποτύπωση του φάρου με την υπέροχη αντανάκλασή του στο νερό όπως επίσης και του δύοντος ήλιου.Το ξέρω το μέρος αυτό γιατί μένω στο Ώρωπό,οπότε είναι δυό βήματα η εκεί επίσκεψη. Έχει πιό γραφικό λιμανάκι από τον Ωρωπό για αυτό και εγώ το έχω προτημήσει για να το αποθανατίσω.

Αχ, αυτές οι νυχτερινές σου. Νομίζω πως έχεις αποκτήσει ειδικότητα πλέον σε αυτές. Τέλεια χρώματα με πολύ καλή ευκρίνεια και αυτό το φανταστικό εφέ αστεριού.
