Photographer's Note

This, of course, is a photo of the most photographed and, I feel, the most beautiful building in Hungary - Parliament.

There's been a lot written on TE about the building, its history, etc.

And actually I wouldn't usually think of posting a shot of something so well known, as there are and will continue to be versions that will be better than my own -see Plank's amazing views, to start. However, I was pleased with being able to get this POV from a little different angle and height than the river front (low) or Fisherman's Bastion (high but far).

This shot was taken from a 9th story balcony along the river road and felt at a good angle, leaning way over the rail, to include not just Parliament, but it's context along the Danube river. That's Margaret Island and Margaret Island Bridge just to the left.

I have to admit though, this building does do a great job of reflecting into the water. What a masterpiece of architecture.
