Photographer's Note

The name “Tapolca” comes from the Slavic “hot water” with reference to an underground spring below the town with a temperature of 18 degrees. That is why the pond never freezes in winter. For more info, please visit: https://www.termeszetjaro.hu/en/poi/lake/malom-to-mill-pond-tapolca-/25900668/

Panorama made by merging 25 photos. Equipment: Nikon D700, Nikon 24-70 AFs

PS: Both Beverley and Gert asked why I used 25 photos. Well, I decided to down-size my gear for this holiday, so I left both my ultra-wide angle and my fisheye at home. Since it is a realively large lake with a narrow walk-around path, thus I couldn't get far enough to cover the scene with the 24 mm set of the lens, so I needed 25 vetical images to achieve this.
