Photographer's Note

I've just realized that there're not too many bluehour photos in my gallery. So here's a quite fresh photo taken on friday in my hometown with the Christmas decoration still on.
I would be pleased if you told me your opinion about the photo!

The photo was taken in the 15th March square, the main square of Vác. This is one of the most beautiful baroque squares of Hungary. Formerly the church of Saint Michael was standing here, but it was disassembled in 1761. You can see its ruins in the foreground. It was recunstructed in 2006. The market was working in the square till 1951. The church you can see here is the Church of the Whites (Fehérek temploma).

The vernacular name of this Baroque-style church, Church of the Whites (Fehérek temploma) refers to the colour of the robes of Dominican friars. Its construction was delayed from 1699 to 1755 due to the Rákóczi Freedom Fight. The Rococo furnishing inside were created between 1760 and 1770.
The single nave Baroque church with its unassuming exterior well blends into the main square's atmosphere and is contrasted by the interior's Rococo ornamentation.
Of singular significance are burial finds from Baroque times, recently unearthed in the crypt of the church. These finds are exhibited in one of the cellars of the square.
The church may be visited on prior arrangement.

Csodálatos "kék óra" fotó, nagyszerű kompozícióval és ragyogó fényekkel. Mindig öröm látni képeket hazánkról a TE oldalain, de a Tiédhez hasonló nagyszerű hangulatok öregbítik igazán hírnevünket. A kép élessége és tisztasága ugyancsak remek. Gratulálok, kellemes vasárnap estét, szép tájakat!

Hi,
the lights in this picture create a very special and warm atmosphere. I like the contrast that is provided by the crisp and coolish blue sky. The composition is quite good as well with the church being put in just the right place within the frame. Maybe it could be just a tad sharper though.

Ahogy elnézem galériádat, sok mindenről lemaradtam, úgyhogy bőven lesz miről írnom az elkövetkező napokban. :) Nem az első remek éjszakai fotód (még ha nincs is teljesen éjszaka a képen). Bár nekem is így menne a "kék óra" remek kihasználása, de én ilyenkor a gyerekekkel játszok, vagy a gépet bűvölöm. :) Csodálatos a kép, kitűnő kompozíció - bár én talán hajszálnyival kevesebb előteret vettem volna bele, de ez valószínűleg csak személyes ízlés kérdése. Kicsit furcsa a templom, olyan, mintha festve lenne. Érdekes.
Szép munka, őszinte grat. További szép estét. Azért pedig ne bánkódj, mert elmúlt az iskolai szünet - sajnos minden elmúlik egyszer. :(

Hi Marci,
A good work in this capture at the blue hour, you have obtained a good result in the luminosity and the quality of the image and of the colors. The gilded tones are warm and create an excellent chromatic contrast with the still blue sky.
The baroque architecture of the church is nice because is not too decorated, and the simplicity gives it more beauty.

Hi Marci,

it looks really freezing...but somehow the warm lights break a bit that feeling. The architecture is very beautiful and you chose the right angle and moment with the blue color on the sky. Very good work!

A téma nagyon szép, a megoldás is tetszik. Amitől kevésbé vagyok lelkes, az a kamera két ajándéka: a perspektivikus torzulás (köszönhetően a nagylátószögnek) és a fölső sarkokban jelentkező vignettálás. Sajnos, nem nagyon lehet velük mit kezdeni, a kép mindenesetre így is szép.

Repasando tu galería en TE, he detallado admirablemente tu tema de FOTOS NOCTURNAS, y entre tantas, me ha agradado esta.

Detalla un especial tratamiento, con calidad y adecuado manejo de la exposición. Los brillos dorados contrastan muy bien con los efectos de la hora azul, y desde un perfecto ángulo de tiro.
