Droning the Volcanoes, a photo from Sudhur-Mulasysla, Asturland

As i'm posting these newest Iceland photos, i'll be jumping all over the map, there won't be any specific order. I added the MAP view for this, showing you where in the country this little town is, its on the east coast. In later posts, I'll actually show the town itself, it offered up alot of photo opportunities. Including an abandoned house I got to explore :)

This is another drone photo, this one was taken very early in the morning in a small town called Djupivogur. The last TE post from here was back in 2013, so its been due. There are also only 1 page of photos from this town, so I'll be glad to add to that. I should point out that the town is facing the opposite direction, there are actual people living here :)

Although the sky is a bit hazy and the lighting isn't the best, I love this shot because i'm 1600 feet high and we can see the top of the blown out Volcano - is that cool or what!!

You may not realise it, but when you're down on the ground, it looks like a big mountain and its hard to really see the open dome. I also like the scene because we have see the large body of water and the road. I'll see if I have any other shots i can add as WS photos.

What town? :)
Lovely landscape. Indeed good viewpoint showing both the seashore and mountains in the background. Shadows of clouds look good up there. This also shows how the main road goes between the sea and higher ground.

Wow, another magnificent shot with your drone. I was thinking, if you ever come to Bergen again, you don`t have to visit Mt Fløyen or Mt Ulriken or any other, you can just fly your drone instead, haha:) Wonderful view towards the mountains. The clouds creates a darker carpet over the peaks. I like how you have included a bit of the sea. The pale blue sky and the darker blue colour of the sea contrasts nicely with the green. Lovely work:) TFS.

Vista lindíssima. A nitidez e as cores me encantaram. A cor da água é muito bonita, é um azul muito intenso. O contraste dele com os verdes espalhados ficou bonito. Achei interessante a sombra que as nuvens fizeram nas montanhas.

Hello Craig,

You used a new verb - to drone :).It gives really something new for the photography - the viuews that were not possible to see before, It is something fantastic. And your drone is excellent that it flies so high and far away. Aren't you afraid you will loose it? Marvelous landscape. But it reminds me Scotland, with these mountains cover with the low grass. Splendid colours of the mountains and the sea. The zrea in Icelan, so away of the people, is ideal place for droning.

This photo is quite sensational. It looks very much like a model of a landscape you could see in a museum. There is an amazing 3D effect, maybe most clear along the shoreline. You must be thinking now how you could live for so many years without a drone!

Finalement, si on y pense, il y a vraiment quelque chose à faire avec un drone, surtout si on le manie aussi bien. Mais il faut se trouver un pays comme celui-ci pour en profiter. Quel paysage.

This really is a stunning shot!
It's like the 3D models of landscapes that we used to have in geography when being taught about escarpments, valleys, etc.
Is that the top of the volcano where the cloud shadows are revealing the depression?
I can't really see a town but that doesn't detract from the stunning beauty of this drone shot!

Impressive this great panorama, from great height, which gives us a good view of the cut coast, the profiles of the volcano in the background and the greenness of the lands and rocks, the carretra is a good straight.
A nice color, in these natural tones.

I am convinced that the views from on the ground will be completely different.
Through the drone you get beautiful views of the entire region.
One would think that your drone was more or less at the height of the mountain top.
