Photographer's Note

check out the Beta version too. Djupivogur Town.

This is one part of Djupivogur, the town that I showed in my last post from the drone 1600 feet up, the view of the Volcano dome. The lighting/colors look a bit funky to me, not sure why, but this is exactly how it looked at the time.

Of course, knowing me, i'm going to choose a scene in the town thats got that abandoned/rustic look to it. But rest assured the town has 'pretty' charm as well. Perhaps I'll show that side later.

I liked the rusted out barns, and the mountains and volcano scene here. Of note, that red house you see, its quite interesting. I thought long and hard about posting that as a main photo too. I'll put it in the WS.

That red house is a local man's home, which he has turned into an informal Museum of dead things! Its quite unusual. Its like an open air museum of whale bones, skeletons, any skeleton of any dead animal.

He's quite the eccentric person I think. And he has a stone collection which he has turned into people, and they go up and hillside behind his house - and he has stories that go with them. Its quite bizarre. He has a large collection of dog cat mice rat skeletons in that red hut.

If you're interested, check out the WS photos. Although the photos only show about 5% of his weirdness haha
