Photographer's Note

A second photo from the Reynisdrangar Stacks, the rock formation which featured in my previous post and seems to be arranged like organ pipes. Of course, similar formations can be found in various countries, including Australia where the rocks in Tasmania are actually called : the 'Organ Pipes'.

But the human interest is the main interest for me in this one. Years ago I posted a photo called Woman in Red, but you had to look closely to find her. Today it's the man in red, a larger but rather serious, static subject who looks as though he were born to sit in the stacks of Reynisdrangar and is going to stay there. All the action is with his wife/partner, who might be wielding only a mobile phone, but she knows how a low viewpoint can make all the difference.
