amazing place, a photo from Clare, South

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken at "The Burren"(co. Clare) , an amazing and treeless place.
Here you see a prehistoric monument , built with several erected stones to support a flat stone served as a roof , it was designed as a burial chamber.
This Dolmen at Poulnabrone is been erected about 3800 BC and located between Kilfenora and Ballyvaghan.

Great shot.I like a lot the sky,very good colors and clouds.I like the contrast between the sky and the black silhouettes.Good light.Well done!

Een beetje analoge foto aan deze van mij vandaag, Arthur, ik vind altijd iets met de natuur blijft mij facineren, de kleuren van de zon op de wolken, de meer donkere plaatsen alles blijft zijn recht opeisen. Als ik enig kritiek moet geven dan is dat uw monument pal in de midden staat, de fout wat ik vroeger ook maakte en terecht ook daar op gewezen werd door andere mensen.
Maar goede foto zeker en vast!

Nice horizontal bands of light and dark. Very mystical feel to the shot which sums up an ancient celtic site.

It reminds me of a neolithic standing stone (Arthur's Stone) which stands on a ridge in the Gower, South Wales that potentially gives great, big sky/silhouette shots. Anyone interested can find more info at http://www.explore-gower.co.uk/arthursstone.html

well Arthur hij is best wel mooi,
Het probleem met dergelijke foto's is dat je door dat tegenlicht zo's donkere voorgrond krijgt. Wat U kunt proberen is een flits. Het kan een heel mooi special effect geven. Ik zou zeggen probeer het eens met tegenlicht. De compositie zelf is best mooi genomen en als ik de foto oplich zie ik dat U ook de lijnen van de voor grond goed in beeld heeft. Anyway very good job.

An effective silhouette presentation of the prehistoric monument against the sunset scenery. I like how you used the dolmen to partially disguise the sun, and the overall setting with the low light in the foreground and the colorful spectacle unfolding in the sky enhances the subject quite well. Good shot, Arthur.

Beautiful light treatment for this great POV. The dolmen seems nice and it's always magic to see these prehistoric monuments lost in the middle of such scenic landscapes (in particular in Ireland !!!). Thancs for sharing, Arthur !
