This is not a smoking factory chimney,what you would think, no it's an Irish round tower with a small cloud.
Here the Mac Carthys Tower (12th C.) at Clonmacnoise on the banks of the river Shannon, situated south of Athlone (co. Offaly)

It's always a good POV for this kind of picture. However, these a little black spot one the right and a little bit of noise in the sky.

I did a workshop to correct that.

Superb perspective on this rounded tower. I like the rocky texture of the wall and the superb contrast with the surrounding blue sky. It's a wonderful evidence that irish sky is not always rainy !!!

Cette tour impressionnante qui cherche à toucher le ciel est vertigineuse (vertige à l'envers). Très bon cadrage et angle bien choisi.
Beaucoup de détails.
Merci de nous faire partager un édifice du 12ème siècle.

Ik dacht inderdaad dat dit een fabrieksschoorsteen was zonder de tekst te lezen, omdar er in uw regio nog enkele staan.
Ik vind dit echt een mooi en zeker niet alledaags plaatje. Het metselwerk met die grote natuurstenen is op zich al verwonderlijk en dan toevallig die wolk daar boven, wel Arthur een goede samenstelling.

Arthur, aan de stenen te zien, dacht ik op 't eerste zicht al dat het een toren was. Mooie foto,hoor. Ikzelf ben maar amateurke die fotografeert op gevoel en en volgens de gelegenheid. Daarom schrok ik een beetje van de goede kritiek die ik af en toe krijg, maar, eerlijk gezegd : het flatteert wel als je werk erkenning krijgt. Toevallig heb ik net ook een soortgelijke foto op TE gezet : kerktoren van Damme.
