ENGLISH: Beannacht Lá Fhéile Pádraig - Happy St Patrick's Day! 17 March is important for two reasons: it is the anniversary of the Italian Republic and it is St Patrick's Day celebrated by the Irish. I could have posted scenes of drunken debauchery and fun but these days I celebrate St Patrick's Day in a more responsible fashion. This is Donegal Bay near where my family live.

In my Workshop however is how I used to celebrate Paddy's Day. YIKES!

ITALIANO: Beannacht Lá Fhéile Pádraig! Buon St Patrizio! Il 17 Marzo e importante per 2 motivi: e' il Giorno della Repubblica in Italia ma anche e' la Festa di San Patrizio in Irlanda. Sarebbe possibile a postare tante foto dei ubriachi ma questo sterotipo non va bene con mi. Nei questi giorni lo festiggio nelle circostanze piu tranquille. Questa e Donegal Bay dove abitano vicino la mia famiglia.

Mio WS pero' ed un essempio come l'ho festiggiato nel passato. YIKES!

The same day it is the day of italy and St. Patrick's Day? I didn't know it. Fantastic Photo, I like the colours vfery much. Wonderful landscape. Great shot. Maybe I will go to Ireland in June. I will visit my son in Cambridge, so i can go somewhere else.

A very nice post to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and rather diiferent from your WS! The landscape, reflections and sky all seem to merge beautifully with other other giving a very harmonious picture. Excellent colours and exposure - great work.

Well, I think we are pursuing each other here, eh?
Very fine environment and composition which reminds me of a similar one you find in my Saline theme...
I love the strong contrast and the lovely reflections. The sharpness is quite good and very effective in defining those bushes in fg. And the atmosphere is so lovely.

I thought your family lived in Australia???

Surely you can't mean you had a drink free St Patrick's Day:-) I like the mood here very much; it simply exudes peace and calm. The point of view is well chosen looking through the gap towards the far shore. A lovely blend of tones and excellent sharpness. Something to sooth the worried brow. May I ask, do you have Irish blood through your mother's side?

Like everyone else a mellow dusk scene, attractive for the shadow outlines and details with subdued coloring.

No debauchery for me on my birthday, just a fire, music and photo work. ( I will get to get a little crazier next week in the Mojave Desert...)

Goodness Lisa - How did I miss this one? Strong contrast but still an air of tranquility and calm. The water has a superb "liquid" look to it and I love the delicate grasses silhouetted in the FG. Super, have a good weekend Rosemary

This is a stunning silhouetted image of Donegal Bay. The sky is magical with its orange and purple hues and the water looks amazing with the glassy smooth areas contrasting with the wind rippled areas - a striking affect, well captured TFS

I do like the main photo more than the workshop :)
Extraordinary light. Superb composition.
You have smartly chosen a perfect POV to align well the variety of layers against each other. The sky is wonderful with great clouds and the treat is doubled in the reflection.
