Grey Reflections - A view of homes fronting Kinsale Harbour in Kinsale, County Cork.

While sunlight was a scarce commodity in Ireland this summer, overcast skies weren't. In this case the grey skies allowed me to capture some saturated colors from the charming little row of buildings.

Kinsale is a little fishing and boating village in southern County Cork. It has figured prominently in Ireland's history since receiving its charter in 1334. A decisive British victory here in 1601 led to a mass exodus of Irish loyalty known as the "Flight of the Earls". You'll also find 12th century St Multose Church, a 12th century Carmelite friary, and 15th century Desmond Castle.

Certainly a place to seek out when you're exploring the coastline of County Cork.

Regards,
Doug
