Photographer's Note
Located on the coast of County Donegal, Ireland, Slieve League, at 601 metres, has Ireland's second highest sea cliffs, after Croaghaun on Achill Island and Europe's sixth-highest.
The Belfast naturalist Robert Lloyd Praeger wrote in 1939:
A tall mountain of nearly 2000 feet, precipitous on its northern side, has been devoured by the sea till the southern face forms a precipice likewise, descending on this side right into the Atlantic from the long knife-edge which forms the summit. The traverse of this ridge, the "One Man's Path", is one of the most remarkable walks to be found in Ireland - not actually dangerous, but needing a good head and careful progress on a stormy day....The northern precipice, which drops 1500 feet into the coomb surrounding the Little Lough Agh, harbours the majority of the alpine plants of Slieve League, the most varied group of alpines to be found anywhere in Donegal.

I just logged on in the Sumatran jungle to see this, I wish I could feel the cool wind that's obviously there, but there's only a hot rain outside here. Maybe the Lee filter wasn't necessary here, it's somewhat noticeable in the upper quadrant at the tops of the cliffs, but the sky is fine.

Hi Stephen
A nice capture that is well composed. The exposure is spot on. Great job using the big rock on the left to hold the eye in this image.

Photographing beaches from high pov is a boat I still have to follow... When I see this, I imagine myself running to that rocky shore down there. And those giant rocks in the water are really crying for me. :) I like what you did here. The horseshoe circular shape of the composition is nice and your aperture gives a infinite depth to the all scene. So much to see... Very nice.

Hi Stephen,
beautiful place, I must say...the overcast sky is not always a drawback, as can be seen here, here it adds a special kind of atmosphere, hanging heavily over the cliffs...well done!
Take care, Ivana

Hi Stephen,
Your photo reminds me my holidays a few weeks ago :( Incredible cliffs, and very nice shot even though you had not a great weather (I was luckier than you !). I love your composition with the rocks in the foreground, it drives the look along the cliffs.

Olivier

Great shot, I like the wide view and dramatic setting, looks so different from my shot. I guess we have similar opinions about Slieve League.
