Photographer's Note

Should you visit the Aventino height in Rome with fine views over the city then do not forget to try this keyhole shot from the church at Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta.

Standing in front of the door, looking through the keyhole as by magic you look directly to the St. Peters basilica – far out in the distance.

Difficult shot where the only hope to success is by using manual settings for focusing, shutter and aperture. Then just leans the camera directly to the door/keyhole and cross your fingers.

This one was my best: Focal length 70mm, shutter 1/60 and aperture F22. Cropped app. 50%.

The workshop gives a more overview of the place, including some taxi tourists in full swing making (hopefully) top shots of the magic.
