Make love and not war, a photo from Milan, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

For a few weeks no one seems to remember the war in Ukraine, after everyone celebrated it at the beginning. This photo seems perfect to me to create a metaphor. Make love and not war, as this couple of Polyommatus icarus is doing, but behind them there is always someone black and red who wants to ruin the party. Photo taken as always in the park of my village.

Da qualche settimana nessuno sembra più ricordarsi della guerra in Ucraina, dopo che tutti hanno celebrato la cosa all'inizio. Mi pare perfetta questa foto per creare una metafora. Fate l'amore e non la guerra, come sta facendo questa coppia di Polyommatus icarus, ma alle spalle c'e' sempre qualcuno nero e rosso che vuole rovinare la festa. Foto scattata come sempre nel parco del mio paese.

Un titre qui devrait s'appliquer au conflit entre l'Ukraine et la Russie. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des papillons Polyommatus icarus. La lumière donne de belles teintes aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée

Hello Luciano,
Looking closely at the black and red insect I can see a certain similarity with Putin. Let's hope the beautiful butterflies could chase it away. It's a cleverly taken photo showing more action than the usual butterfly pictures but taken with your usual sharpness and fine exposure.

What a beautiful capture. I have just written to Silvio, that I am terrible in taking photos of small items, maybe my hands she too much ha ha
Here not only a great quality but also an amazing moment. Looking at them it seems that the position is slightly uncomfortable but I am sure they will manage...
Interesting to see also another black insect in between.

Yes you are right, I do think a lot about Ukraine but it seems to have disappeared from the headlines and also I don't have photos which would be good to mention the topic. I caught some in Poland where there are these days more Ukrainian flags than Polish but I wanted to finish the Cape Verde photos before that.

Hello Luciano,
An excellent close-up photo of these two love-making butterflies on the green branches. Their details and especially the small orange dots stands out so well from the blurry green backdrop. That black fly is well included too, even though it seems to be spoiling the idyll a little.

Spring time and many butterflies are out, luciano.
Saw that in Florida as well, but had focused on other creatures, will be shown in due time.
Wonderful pattern upon the wings, picture is clear and distinct as always.

This is the most 'SPECTACLE' nature in full-display without censorship ... to embrace the openness for all to see.
It's very encouraging and stimulating.
In this case, I wouldn't say , make love ... first no privacy at all and too many watchful eyes.
It's more like ... making babies. This photo is the best example and you've definitely caught it at the right moment. The perfect position , one could fantasize :-)

An incredible photo captured in a unique moment, with the couple of beautiful butterflies in such a sweet moment, while an ugly spectator who I don't think was invited, at least causes concern and breaks the magical moment.
