Photographer's Note
What do Goethe, Alexander Dumas, Johannes Brahms, Gustav Klimt, D.H. Lawrence, Richard Wagner, Oscar Wilde, Truman Capote, John Steinbeck, Ingmar Bergmann, Francis Ford Coppola, Leonard Bergman, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Federico Fellini, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Elisabeth Taylor and Woody Allen have in common?
Simple - they have all sojourned in Taormina, the pearl of the Mediterranean.
Idyllicly perched on a rocky promontory high above the sea, Taormina has been the most popular tourist destination in Sicily for a couple of hundred of years, ever since it became an integral part of the Grand Tour. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with shops, bars and restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot.

Ciao Daniel
un passaggio anche in Italia, luce non perfetta, ma bellissimo luogo.
Piuttosto frequentata la piazzetta, interessante la pavimentazione, immagino che prospettive possono venire fuori.
Saluti

Hi Daniel
so are there any locals here? lol
I bet everyone here is a tourist.
funny again, to see the small satelite dishes on the old rustic homes :)
I would pay an arm and a leg to walk inside some of those! Just to see how they look.
a fine overview of the square and the shops, and the architecture. I hope the ambiance isn't ruined with the overly 'touristy' feel
cheers

Hi Daniel,
Colorful and active, your title is a perfect match for this scene! I actually like the cloud cover here, the muted touch of blue in the sky adds even more color and appeal to everything presented in this shot. As Craig mentioned, I thought the same thing...are there any locals here, or merely tourists? :) Wish I were one of them though, looks like a small, but beautiful village packed full of photo opportunities and charming atmosphere. As always, superb clarity, detail and a composition that offers up plenty to look over and admire.Very well done once again! Have a great day ahead.
Friendly regards,
Jason

Hello Daniel,
a very lovely and interesting presentation of the architectural character of this famous and popular town. You selected a great point of view that allowed you to include a few other buildings next to the antique church. I also enjoy very much the view of the busy square and the rendering of the calm and delightful evening atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,
Ourania
