Via Capitano Bocchieri, a photo from Ragusa, Sicily

Non faccio il mio come-back su TE, voglio semplicamente pubblicare alcune foto di Sicilia dove ho passato la mia ultima vacanza per fare piacere ai due membri siciliani che ci ho incontrati ed ad alcuni altri membri anche spero.

Da quando ho lasciato TE, la mia fotografia ha molto evoluto, ormai faccio sopratutto fotografia di strada in n&b perché è ciò che mi tocca il più. È dunque una serie b&n che intendo proporre.

Ho scelto di cominciare con una foto di Ragusa Ibla per alcune raggioni, perché era la città che mi attirava il più con Siracusa prima di partire, è il luogo in Sicilia dove sono restata il più lungo ed è soprattutto il luogo dove ho fatto i miei più bei incontri e penso particolarmente a Giorgio (ciakgiak ) e Peppe(Peppe59) ed a loro cari ed amici. Sono stati ospiti adorabili, attenti, con una grande generosità ed hanno fatto di me una turista davvero privilegiata. Grazie a loro dal fondo del mio cuore per tutti i momenti meravigliosi che mi hanno permesso di vivere e che non dimenticherò mai.
È naturalmente a loro che dedico tutta questa serie di foto.

Questa foto di Ragusa, l'ho presa al piede dell ’appartamento che avevo affittato, non troppo stancante :). Il monumento che si vede in fondo e che costituisce il cuore della città è il Duomo San Giorgio. La particolarità di Ragusa Ibla e di Modica (città vicina) è che si presentano come un groviglio di case di tipo medioevale e essendo costruite su colline, offrono punti di vista straordinari sulla città e la campagna.

La Sicilia è molto bella e molto diversificata, molto differente da tutto ciò che ho visto in Italia fine a ora. È un luogo dove potete mangiare una buona pizza (una vera pizza italiana) e sentirvi in Grecia allo stesso tempo e questo è solo un esempio.
Ciò che mi è particolarmente piaciuto in Sicilia è che la gente si parla senza conoscersi, comunicano molto facilmente e con molto piacere, senza distinzione di generazioni ed è molto bello da vedere.
Formano una grande famiglia ed hanno piacere a fare scoprire e gradire la loro terra che amano tanto. Una isola da scoprire senza dubbio.

It's not a come-back on TE, I just want to post some photos of Sicily where I spent my last holidays in order to give pleasure (I hope :)) to the two sicilian members I met there and to some others also I hope :).
Since I left TE, my photography much evolved, now I especially propose street b&w shots because it's the photography which touches me more. So it's a b&w series I intend to propose, the favorite kind on TE :).

I chose to start with a shot of Ragusa Ibla for many reasons. It was the city which attracted me more with Siracusa before leaving, then it's the place in Sicily where I spent more time and it's above all the place where I had my most beautiful meetings and I think particularly to Giorgio (ciakgiak ) and Peppe (Peppe59) and their family and friends. They were wonderful hosts, attentive, with a great generosity and made me a privileged tourist.
I thank you them from my heart for all the marvellous moments they made live and that I will never forget. I dedicate this series to them of course.
I took this shot of Ragusa Ibla at the foot of the apartment I had there, not too much tiring:). The monument at the bottom of the street and who constitutes the heart of the city is Duomo San Giorgio. Ragusa Ibla and Modica (close city) are built on hills and offer extraordinary views, on the city and on
Sicily is a very nice island, very diversified, very different from all I saw before in Italy. Because of its history, it's a place where you can eat a very good pizza (italian...) and having the feeling to be also in Greece and it's only one example.
In Sicily, people much communicate with other people they don't know, with pleasure and without being concerned with the age, and it's very pleasant to see that... so unusual
Sicilians form a big family and have pleasure to make discover and like their island they love. An island to discover without any doubt.

Magali carissima!
Quale grandissimo piacere nel vedere pubblicata una foto della "mia" Ragusa Ibla, e quale leggere parole così belle che da sole giustificano il senso di partecipare a questa stupenda comunità di amici prima, e di fotografi poi.
E' stata una bellissima settimana, speriamo di aver fatto tutto ciò che era nelle nostre possibilità per farti sentire una principessina siciliana :-))
La foto è favolosa, credo tu abbia intrapreso una strada che ti porterà verso una magnifica produzione fotografica, complimenti vivissimi.

Bonjour Magali, ton noir et blanc agrémenté de gris différents est vraiment très bien travaillé, une bonne perspective emmène notre regard vers le couple et ensuite vers le haut de la coupole illuminé, bon début de scènes de rues;

meme si ce n'est pas pour moi, ça me fait plaisir de te revoir ici
un tres beau noir et blanc admirablement travaillé: je trouve la photo assez sombre mais tu as su garder beaucoup de details..la lumiere est juste où il faut en guide notre regard sur le couple puis vers le dome, un superbe travail que j'aimerais savoir faire....

sympa de passer nous voir! J'aime bien ce N&B bien dosé qui conserve du détail dans les zones sombres. L'ambiance nocturne évoquée est agréable. Ça donne envie de se promener aussi. Pas aussi original que certains de tes posts mais sympa tout de même.
Il y a du Silver Efex là-dedans?

Grazie per la ua amicizia e per le bellissime parole che ci hai dedicato, e' stato un grande piacere conoscerti ed un grande onore, spero che la tua permanenza in Sicilia sia stata di tuo gradimento e spero presto di poter rivedere p poter questa volta uscire a fotografare insieme, cosa che non mi e' stata possibile per i noti motivi, grazie ancora e complimenti per la tua bellissima immagine di Ragusa Ibla.....se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino.....chissa' quante altre belle foto ci aspettano. Carissima Magalissima

Una scena straordinaria con il duomo nel sfondo e gli amanti in primo piano che danno alla scena un'atmosfera di romanza. Ottimo il scelto di B&N, il gioco di luci ed ombra e' magicale. Una dolce dedica ai cari nostri amici. Sono sicura che avrebbero fatto tour guides strepitosi.

Même si c'est apparemment temporaire, c'est un plaisir de te retrouver là!Un noir et blanc nocturne de belle qualité de cette ruelle, bien animée par ce couple. Jolie maitrise technique de l'exposition et de la profondeur de champ. Jolie perspective sur le dôme.

Conosco bene questo vicolo che porta alla chiesa di San Giorgio, tra i vecchi palazzi che esprimono lo stupendo stile del barocco siciliano. Io l'ho fotografato di giorno, ma sicuramente anche di notte non sarei stato capace di fare un simile capolavoro in bianco e nero. La qualsi assenza del grigio conferma una eccellente gestione della luce che enfatizza i contrasti tra il bianco ed il nero, disegnando con perfetta nitidezza le forme architettoniche e le silhouettes delle persone. Una composizione fotografica di alta qualità, ricca di soggetti bene posizionati e interessanti dettagli.
Sinceri complimenti, cara amica, da te c'è sempre tanto da imparare!!!

Esto lo vemos muchas veces en TE, pero depende de nosotros destacar la individualidad de nuestro estilo en todas las fotos que tomamos, lo original o lo banal. Usted lo ha hecho muy bien aquí amiga Magali, jugando con los cloroscuros de la noche en Ragusa y un magnífico encuadre.

well, it may not be a full blown TE Comeback! but its always a pleasure to have your new photos posted here.
Your photo's enhance the overall quality of the website. Its sad that you've left, but at least we have you sometimes :)
I envy your shots like this - you honestly make them easier than they look. Everytime i try a shot like this I get so involved with where to place the long perspective lines in the frame.
interesting choice to produce it in BW. There are small elements of the shot that I particularily enjoy such as the light striking the black bars on the wall to the bottom left - a real pleasure to view.
Hope to see you around a little bit more, but I understand if we dont :)

je decouvre ton (temporaire) retour un peu par hasard car je suis beaucoup moins assidu ces derniers temps. Je me sers de TE comme galerie mais je n'ai pas bcp de temps pour commenter (mes derniers "scores" s'en ressentent..:-)
Cela fait du bien de verifier de temps en temps qu'il y a des gens naturellement doué, quelque soit les types de photos
Je te souhaite de continuer à te faire plaisir dans ton exploration du monde de la photo

I'm the fan of B&W street shots and this one is a spechical work ! Despite the poor light, the details are so prominent and when i can understand the typical architecture of the city at one sight ! bravo !

I know you posted this some time back, but I couldn't resist a comment. Again, your choice of b/w has imbued the photograph with a sense of another time, and also drama, as the contrast is really strong. The lead-lines of the street, traversed by the couple hand in hand, take our eyes to the imposed cupola at the end: great composition. Good work!
