Photographer's Note
I refer to my yesterday's post of a combat elephant, painted by a medieval artist who certainly had never seen such an animal before.
Here you can see him:
Arcades in the cathedral's cloister at Brixen / Bressanone, South Tyrol.
The cloister counts among the most important monuments of art in Tyrol. It originated in pre-romanesque times and received romanesque and gothic changes. The frescoes were begun around 1390, but mostly are from the 15th century.
Taken on slide film with Canon A1, professionally digitalized (with limited success in this case).

Hi Sven,in fact the quality of this pic isn't excellent like your others, but no problem, nobody is perfect, and the view and note ar every useful to understand better where the "elephant" is and come from. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
