Photographer's Note
The 17 contradas of Siena have fountains where new contrada members are baptized. Most of the fountains were built in the XX century.
This is the fountain of the contrada of Lupa (She-Wolf). It was made by architect Giovanni Barsacchi and sculptor Emilio Montagnani in 1962. It is located in Via Pian d'Ovile.
