Situé au coeur des immenses pâturages de Mondeval à 2150 mètres d'altitude , le petit Lago delle Baste , avec ici le reflet des crêtes calcaires de la Ponta Lastoi de Formin (2657 m) .

Bonjour Denis,
Those rock formations are so impressive and beautiful and they were lit here by a wonderful sunlight, which made the warmer tones stand out so well from the cloudy sky. The reflections look very artistic and are just breath-taking as well.

Your photograph clearly reveals the majesty of the steep-sided mountain, its textures and colours but with this amazing bonus of its reflection.

Bonjour Denis,

A n'en pas douter, cette photo porte ta signature visuelle. J'aime beaucoup l'effet du nuage sombre derrière le roc comme pour mieux souligner ses formes. Les reflets font le reste.

A local guide said this lake is just a puddle.
But I've rarely seen such a fine puddle surrounding and reflection: well done! It seems you did some sporty achievement to get there :-)

Beautiful image with so much on offer, but quite strange looking limestone formation with nice shapes with clear textural detail along with some pretty layers of colours. The reflection is gorgeous it has somehow conrasts superbly against the setting. So restful landscape well taken, Congrats

Bonjour Denis,
beautiful composition. The rocky mountain is so impressive and beautifully captured with its reflection and framed with the grass in the foreground.
The light was magnificent.
The grass across the pond clearly indicates it is autumn already. And it is supported by the dark clouds behind.
This whole reportage really encourages to visit Italian Alps.
