Ogni anno si ripete una festa dalle antiche origini celtiche. Si tratta della focheraccia: fino a pochi anni fa i contadini raccoglievano la legna e l'accatastavano nel campo accanto a casa. Al tramonto tutta la famiglia si riuniva attorno al fuoco per celebrare insieme il passaggio alla primavera salutando il rigido inverno. Un rito che vive ancora e che mi entusiasma come da piccolo, quando il 18 Marzo si accendevano centinaia di fuochi all'unisono.

Every year an ancient Celtic rite. It's called "la focheraccia" (or fogheraccia): until a few years ago the farmers gathered wood and piled in fields next to the house. At sunset the whole family gathered around the fire to celebrate the transition to spring saluting the cold winter. On March 18 the ritual still alives and excites me as a child when hundreds of fires were lit in unison.
