Terra di Siena colors ( my 100 photo), a photo from Arezzo, Tuscany

Festeggio le mie 100 foto su Te con questo bel campo arato ripreso nella campagna attorno a Cortona.
Quando l’ho visto mi è subito venuto in mente il famoso colore terra di siena.

La terra di Siena è una gradazione del marrone e un pigmento inorganico usato in pittura. Si distingue in terra di Siena naturale e terra di Siena bruciata. Il pigmento terra di Siena naturale è noto anche come scyricum, sil pressum e terra d'Italia; quello terra di Siena bruciata come ocra romana pura.
La terra di Siena è un marrone chiaro, anzi chiarissimo.
I colori attualmente in commercio color terra di Siena sono ottenuti da miscele particolari di ossidi di ferro ed altri minerali brunastri.
Il nome attribuito a questo colore ha evidente origine da un tipo di terra estratta in cava nella località Bagnoli di Arcidosso, nel territorio del Monte Amiata, facente parte della Repubblica di Siena in epoca medioevale, oggi inserita nella provincia di Grosseto. Tale cava, attiva fino agli anni cinquanta del Novecento, produceva un inerte che veniva utilizzato come colorante anche in tempi antichissimi, e che si denominava indifferentemente "terra rossa" "terra gialla" e anche "terra di Siena". La popolarità della "terra di Siena" deriva dall'uso che ne è stato fatto nell'arte toscana venendo citata nei principali trattati sulle tecniche artistiche, da Cennino Cennini a Giorgio Vasari. Celebrate my 100 photos of you with this beautiful plowed field resumed in the countryside around Cortona.
When I saw it I immediately thought of the famous color sienna.
Sienna refers to a wide range of colours, from a dark reddish brown (burnt sienna) to a medium yellowish brown (raw sienna). The colour meant by sienna varies according to the colour list and the country.
Sienna, in and of itself, is sometimes referred to as "raw sienna", in order to differentiate it from "burnt sienna", which is a more common pigment than the raw form. The difference is in the process applied to create burnt sienna, which is raw sienna heated to remove the water from the clay and give it a warm reddish-brown colour.[4] The name of this pigment was classically referred to by the French term, "terre de Sienne brulée".
The name derives from the most notable Renaissance location for the earth, Siena, Italy, and is short for terra di Siena, "earth of Siena". The mines used to produce this sienna petered out in the 1940s. Much of today's sienna production is still carried out in the Italian islands of Sardinia and Sicily, while other major deposits are found in the Appalachian Mountains, where it often goes hand-in-hand with the region's iron deposits (Wikipedia)

As you may know (or not) I'm not so fan of strongly accentuated colors but I must say that for some people and subjects it works very well

centellinando le tue belle foto sei arrivato al traguardo della centesima e quale meglio di questa poteva esserti di aiuto per festeggiare questa meta?
Ormai te il tuo grandangolo siete in perfetta simbiosi e se solo incontrate il soggetto giusto escono fuori composizioni di gran classe come questa alla quale però, consentimi, un po' di merito va anche alla bellezza della natura toscana.
Non potevi festeggiare meglio di così.
Auguri per il traguardo raggiunto ai quali unisco quelli per un buon fine settimana, tempo permettendo.

These clouds pull the viewer to the horizon, it is magical. Vibrant colour hues and high sharpness. Clearly the use of a wide angle, one of the lenses I like to use as well very often.
