Chiusi è un'antica città etrusca, la sua importanza derivava dalla posizione strategica e dalla fertilità delle sue valli. Il celebre lucumone Porsenna era di Chiusi.
Lungo Via dei Forti si apre questa striscia di terra alberata con molti resti etruschi come i due leoni ai lati della scala, ma tutta la città è caratterizzata da resti antichi, proprio come un museo a cielo aperto.

Pleasant symmetrical composition.

How are olive trees this year? Just one year ago I was in Massa :).

Veut, veut pas, on se sent obligé de monter ces marches pour emprunter ce beau sentier entre ces rangées d'arbres sans feuilles qui offrent un parfait effet entonnoir.

Perfectly show this trail from a middle point: if looking at the naked trees the pic. seems as halved in the middle and one side mirror the other - but merely an eyes illusion upon first sight.
Fine shot despite the grey sky, good depth and view with two ancient statues (lions?) on sides of the stairway.

Very cool easy to create depth in your image, the stairs invite the eye in further and the line of trees seems endless. Really nicely done on retaining so much color in the sky too

The sculptures of lions are really very old, they have seen so many people and so many events, very nice perspective of the alley, I can imagine these trees withgreen leaves
