Photographer's Note

As mentioned before I had the chance to visit Italy for a couple of days in a business trip. It was a hard work in Turin during the week and no idea of what to do on the weekend. I was in the hotel restaurant thinking about that when a guy suddenly approached us asking if we were brazilians.
- Yes man, nice to meet you. What a hell are you doing here? Of course the question was the same for us.
He said: hey, I have rent a car and I'm thinking about going to Florence. It's about 450km from here. We go in the morning and spend the whole afternoon there. At the end of the day We'll be here. Let's go!

And we did.

Florence is a wonderful city. Wherever you look at, you see history. The imponent renaissance architectures make every step of our feet a pleasant moment.

This view is from The dome of the Florence Cathedral (often called Il Duomo). It's one of the most famous works from this period. It was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, who is considered the first architect of the Italian Renaissance. A native of Florence, he studied the structures of Rome, then returned home to combine the design elements of the antiquities with a new sense of proportion.
