Photographer's Note

I realized that almost exactly one year ago I went to Sankt Petersburg. I have only a few pictures from Lithuania, it is quite strange, so why not this view of the river Nemunas in Kauno.
The Nemunas is a major Eastern European river. It rises in Belarus and flows through Lithuania before draining into the Curonian Lagoon, and then into the Baltic. The largest river in Lithuania, and the third-largest in Belarus, the Neman is navigable for most of its 900 km (560 mi) length.
Kaunas is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius. Kaunas is located at the confluence of the two largest Lithuanian rivers, the Nemunas and the Neris.
You can see this confluence in the picture.
