‘Covered alley in Ohrid town’

Anyone who has been to Ohrid town will remember this small alley. It is located in the old town close to the lake.
It's always busy there. Even at night I had to wait to be able to take this photo. Constantly people were jumping in front of my camera ... until suddenly the entire alley was clear.
At the bottom left you can already see the shadow of someone who was coming behind me.

Of course it would have been better if there was one person in the middle of the alley ... but my patience had come to an end :)

In the WS: two photos taken during the day. Each time a different small street higher up the mountain slope where it was a lot quieter.

Hello Paul,
I suppose I will greatly disappoint you by saying I'm not "anyone". I don't remember this small alley and I had never heard of it. I checked my LP guide, which doesn't mention it among the sights or on the suggested walking tour of the old town. Hmmm, maybe it was constructed after 2009? But this is a good photo, worth waiting for until your patience ran out, with fine depth and good exposure. Maybe as a view I would prefer any of the WS for their sense of fresh air and possibly less noise from young people.

Your patient paied-off, after all. You had insisted of taking a picture there, and had made it. Not an easy task.
Old walls and old row of supporting wooden beams, looks as well preserved by long time already.

Een mooie foto en indruk van dit kleine overdekte straatje. De lichten geven een mooie warme gloed aan de oude stenen van de muren. De mensen aan het eind van de straat zijn een goede toevoeging ook.

Goedenavond Paul,

Uw hoofd foto, het lijkt of de mensen in een kader worden gefotografeerd, de familie met kinderen.
Dergelijke foto doet me denken aan, die oude boeren scheuren waar de wagens met paarden doorreden.
De zoldering trekt voornamelijk mijn aandacht.
Uw extra foto's zijn een prettige aanvulling.

Hello Paul,

This is a very well judged photograph, after your long wait, it makes us feel that we are inside an underground passage, constructed centuries ago! Lovely random stone details!
The crowd coming towards you is useful for atmosphere and scale, whilst the spotlights guide us inwards.

I bet you were glad that building in your w/s wasn't your b&b! It might not have survived the night!

How dare you avoid people in your photos, ha ha
We can see the next wave of people approaching soon. They are far enough so that they don't disturb but allow us to feel the scale.
I see you have two strong sources of light similarly to my recent photo from the cemetery.

Hello Paul, your patience paid off as we get a great view of the alley with the people quite distant to you, adding a sense of scale and a touch of colour.
I see the wooden roof, I am assuming that there must be a building on top of this one? Otherwise why would it need to be a covered alley?
The tumbledown dwelling in the w/s shot was well worthy of a picture.
As was the climb up the steep hill to gain a better view of the town.

hello Paul, Hmm, I do not remember this covered passage. How it could happen. Interesting picture. In such a narrow place you would probably have to wait a long time to have a single person in the right place. Nice picture.

I'm afraid that I've not been to Ohrid town.
For the time being , I'm satisfied with your wonderful pictures.
Considering it was a busy alley and losing your patience , you've done very well with this shot.
I would probably give up for waiting the alley to be clear :-)
Having said that, I think the people b/g have given you a big advantage to the picture with vibrancy and make this alley looking even longer ...
I do like both in the WS.
The beautiful views and the building ... in fact, it's rather very photogenic and cool. It could be as main photo.

Very interesting is this covered alley in the old city, which, being a place of passage, will always be full of people.
I love the two photos of the WS with beautiful views of the city, those steep streets must be exhausting at the end of the day.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.

a curious structure as an urban tunnel. I saw many similar, but small, like bridges, not so long. nice the other images in the WS too.
