Deaf Sun, a photo from Bitola, West

From many parts of the world photos with tulips are posted, I'll try something different here to represent the spring in my country.
Do u know how this flower is called? A dandelion. Do u know how they call it in my country? The deaf flower. What is so special about this flower? It has a yellow flower head and notched leaves consisted of many tiny flowers see this, but when it comes in a reproduction faze in spring, it turns like this, the flower matures into a globe of fine filaments that are usually distributed by wind, carrying away the seed-containing achenes.
It's very fragile, if u shake it a bit, all of its filaments will start flowing around and in my country there is a myth for children that says that if a filament goes into your ear, u will turn deaf, so that's why we call it "The Deaf Flower".

I literally lied down in the grass to take the shot and my goal was not to capture just another macro flower, but I centered the sun in the head of the dandelion, the sun is right behind that dark circle part and that's why it looks like it's glowing. When I got up, there were dandelion particles all over me, I had some trouble removing them believe me.
I salute the spring with this photo, my favorite weather season.

Kolku dobra prikazna.A samata fotografija e ZAKON!!! Fantasticno izvedba, ubava realizacija i golema preciznost vo odnos na onie neophodni nesta za edna dobra fotografija.Fokusot e odlicen i ovaa slika ja pravi da izgleda tolku posebno.Mi se dopaga duri i ramkata koja se vklopuva vo golemoto sinilo na tvojata slika. Dolgo vreme te nemase da zakacis fotka i se prasuvav ... sto ke bidi sledno ... i definitivno ova e edna od tvoite podobri.

I love this shot. By trapping the sun behind the flower head you have managed to produce an irridescent halo. Really nice.

Indeed an original POV and compo; well seen and the picture is good, perhaps a bit to central and the DOF could be wider so the flower could be sharper. We call it a horseflower.

Одлична слика. Многу ми се допаѓа тоа што и небото и цветот се добро осветлени, т.е. ниту една од компонентите на сликата не е премногу или премалку осветлена.
Идејата и позицијата се одлични. Острината исто е многу добра.

Great shot. I like your use of the sun in the photo. It really illumminates the details of the dandelion "deaf flower". I posted a picture of a similar flower but I didn't do so good. Next time I'll try to be more creative like you.

J'aime bien la façon dont tu as prise ce pissenlit. Le gros plan donne lui une taille démesurée et le soleil centré dessus, et le ciel et le paysage flou derrière avec des pissenlits que l'on devine donne un coté irréel.

here in the US, a dandelion is a weed! but of course the common yellow bloom especially in groups puts aside the idea that it is unwanted in anyone's garden, me included! a very

I can imagine the trauma of being deaf. I can see you gently laying your ear against the ground, trying to catch the rythm of the Earth, hence capturing the Dandelion in its magnificent living posture. I wish my mind was made of Spring whatever the events I'd go through... so difficult...

Beautiful perspective on this dandelion. Putting the sun right behind it made absolutely superb. The explanation of why it's called "The Deaf Flower" is a cute children story.
