Nice detail with a very appropriate shadow holding the picture. It gives an idea of mystery. A note might be appropriate, especially a note on mystery itself.

Belle photo de cette porte vers le méconu. Belle prise bien nette qui nous montre bien le détails de la construction de ce mur de pierre posée et imbriquées les unes sur et dans les autres. Belle vue.

Hi James!
Didn't know that there are so great doors on Malta:) Looks like taken from a movie like "The lord of the rings", or similar... Great composition, superb colours!

hi James
Can you add and write a Note? Please do it every time you post a photo, if you wont mind. It is like wearing a nice dress but without shoes.
A Note will really help to understand what and how you shoot this photo. I really appreciate that.
Good framing of this composition to show the brickwork and opening. The green grass breaks the dull mono-tone of the wall.

Hi James.
That's a really beautiful tight crop that you have realized here and it allows us to enjoy this beautiful and picturesque architectural detail. I like the way it is composed, with a slight obliquity. I'm not so convinced about the frame you have added (too thick, to my opinion), but it's just a question of personal taste.
Thanks for sharing!

Hello James -
A nice image and good compositional development by adding a portion of the wall and including the FG grasses. The exposure looks to where it belongs, but I seem to detect a slight color cast (magenta) that might need to be addressed. IMO, I don't think the PP framing works with the image.
Thank you for sharing.
