Another shot from the interior of the neo-Byzantine Winter Church (Capriana Monastery) built in 1903 outside the town of Straseni.

A sunbeam has passed between the 2 Madonna images. The ornate decoration contrasts with the simplicity of the single sun ray. More info here:

Hello Chris,
You have the only two photos of this interior on TE. :-) The details and the colors are beautiful, and then you had that divine sun ray come streaming through the window. I also like the angel that's visible through the main arch.

Although there's lack of shade, shadow and too luminous imho, the intriguing details, light shaft and variety of colours draw the eyes throughout. Excellent shot, Congrats

Hello Chris,
This is more attractive than anything I saw in Chisinau. It's largely thanks to the light falling diagonally into the room, but the decorations, colours and rounded shapes are also very appealing. You managed good sharpness and well controlled exposure.

Hello Chris, Moldova is one of the four European countries that I haven't visited yet. And I am not sure if it is worth a visit (except to have a new country in the collection). This composition with the sunray between the two Madonnas is lovely and has charming colors.
