The Buzzard And Esperanza

Number three and last of the small series of “Birds on Art” within the series “A Sea Of Steel”
I’m not an ornithologist, not even an amateur ornithologist, yet I’m pretty sure the bird of prey on this picture is a common buzzard - (Buteo buteo). The buzzard is a common bird in the dunes of the North sea of the Netherlands. The bird is sitting on the sculpture “Esperanza”. OI will show and tell you more about these sculptures in the next days.

Hello Rob,

If you are going to get a 'bird's eye' view of the world, you might as well find somewhere that is artistic as well as high! In fact, it looks like a huge wing!
There is a fine clarity, with little to distract from the focal images.

Hi Rob, Neighbours again! I worked hard with the note an Workshops, it lasts a bit :).
We can see only the back of the bird difficult to say, and no clue about the scale. But it is not important. Fine picture in the series. Interesting detail of the sculpture, something like the wind of the butterfly. we can only imagine the whole piece of art. Fine composition and good colours.

Hello Rob,
Another excellent graphical composition, where yet again the interloping bird steals the thunder. The clear blue sky makes a superb backdrop to the sinuous lines of the artwork. I have enjoyed this original little series.

Het is echt moeilijk te zien hier het verschil tussen een Buizerd en een Sperwer.
Maar u beide foto's zijn aangenaam om naar te kijken.

J'ai comme l'impression que tu as passé beaucoup de temps autour de cette structure à photographier les petits oiseaux qui s'y posaient. Belle utilisation du ciel comme arrière plan.

Ik ken de vogelwereld ook niet erg goed, maar hij heeft in ieder geval een leuk staartje. Het koele blauwe van de lucht en de warme rand van het roestige beeld gaan mooi samen.
