I have one more shot from that beautiful day that I wanted to post, again it's my favorite bridge under a beautiful sky.
I cross this bridge every day by bike, and I sometimes stop just to enjoy the views over the water and to the Northern island are really stunning, especially when returning home with evening light.

The yellow structure is a landing stage for Rotterdam's fast and famous watertaxi.

A nice series of home town shots here Rinie. A very fine bridge, and perfect lighting and sky for this shot.

Wow! Amazing to get all three primary colours in one place for a shot like this - the little bit of yellow really lifts it somewhere else as a photograph. Fantastic sky too! I've spent a lot of time in Holland but have never been to Rotterdam so haven't seen this bridge.

The dramatic sky makes the shot. I really like this POV on the bridge and the way the cables intertwine in front of the clouds.

I love this Rinie. The image is sharp, composition great and colours vivid especially the bridge. I love the form of the bridge cables making geometric shapes. I think you have composed a photo with many of the essential elements that make a good photo.

Rinie, Again so crisp and clear and sharp. I am reading your details exif. I think I have to explore the use of the in camera settings more. eg. Do you think sharpening high makes a difference?

Very good take, Rinie. The bridge does its job in the best way, serving as the central compositional interest but also as a graphical element and a colorful divider of the frame. The yellow pier is well included in the foreground, and the cloud setting is what makes this one work (imagine the same view with a plain blue sky, it just doesn't have the same hook). Nice one.

the sky is really amazing,Rinie,-like in a painting of one of the old dutch masters!
The color contrast the the red bridge is just great.Good compo with strong lines and graphism.

Wow, fijn rijk gesatureerd shot hier Rinie, van je brug onder fantastische wolken omstandigheden. Het is alsof er in de wolken een stukje is uitgespaard voor de bovenkant. En door je straight angle ligt de brug erbij met de dynamiek van een springplank. Erg goed gedaan!

I think this is one of your best shots of your favourite bridge, Rinie. The sky is fantastic, and the light is very nice. Good low horizon and the colours combine beautifully - that red is so vibrant - do they repaint the bridge every second day? ) Thanks for all the links to other shots and the watertaxi in your note.

This is a beautiful day that you've capturred. I love those clouds that are so full of energy. It's just like after a storm passing through. Everything is clear. The light is beautiful and the clouds have that last energy. The bridge stands out beautifully with its red. And I like the composition with this half of the bridge. It's really an impressive scene all around.
