Sunset & Rain, a photo from Noord-Brabant, South

Photographer's Note

Yesterday evening around 19h it was rain.

Whole sky was very dark and cloudy. Just one strip without clouds, on the west, where the sun was very low...
This combination gives an amazing view from my roofwindow. It seems like a sky in fire!

Maybe you can recognize the chimneys and smoke from my earlier compositions, right behind tree.
And what you can see further on horizon is Antwerp city in Belgium, its industry area.
Don`t forget! When I capture this it was rain. ;-)

Yes indeed the sky is on fire, the colours are fantastic and the composition is unusual but it works well. Well captured!

Yes, Don, very nice colours. :o) But I don't found that trees in the middle so pretty. I think it would look better without them. But that's my opinion. :o) Nice composition, good sharpness. Lovely. :o)

Creative, unconventional, & imaginative framing. Good graphic elements, although I would have applied remove 'd&s' to the balck part of the image botttom right. The silhouette of the rotunda is superb. Did you take a close up?

IH Don, an unusual and creative orientation, here it creates interesting diagonals, the tonal ranges are splendid and the shades of the trees add to the attractivity of your photo. Hard to believe it was raining !

Nice shot of a hill. It shows the high gradient here. Very good the sign on the right showing the direction down the hill. :-D (Sorry just joking)

Wat een mooie manier om die diepe kleurbanden hier effe diagonaal grafisch neer te zetten, ik durf wedden dat je zelfs aan deze foto veel plezier hebt beleefd met je editeren. Fijne details in het gabarit van de horizont en die windwijzer is terecht de blikvanger door je plaatsing hier.

ongewone compositie die wel meer ruimte laat voor de vele fantastische kleuren van die avond.
Let op voor "verscherpen", het laat een witte rand aan de fijne lijnen zoals de takjes van de bomen.
(Uw ideale "lookout" geeft wel voordelen... Hetzelfde moment zat ik midden in de stad met allerlei gebouwen die in de weg staan. Trouwens, in de oostelijke richting zagen we een volledige dubbele regenboog. In WS een beeld van dezelfde lucht)

Wat een geweldige kleuren! Het is opvallend dat het vrij abrupte overgangen zijn tussen de verschillende kleuren. Het doet me denken aan een nationale vlag, mede versterkt door de diagonale compositie. Goed werk.

Beautyful photo, pleasent, very atractive and with this diagonal angle little abstract. Sharpen tree and soft soft sky is a good choice to make an good contrast. Colour of the sky is "crasy" and this is the dominant aspect on this photo.

This reminds me of a fire..here in Portugal we see a lot of those fire images during summer. Lots of forests are destroy by the fire. Your photo is powerful Don.Well done

What a sky ! It looks like a chunk of a colour palette. The angle is surprising, an amazing way to reduce the weight of the dark foreground. Too bad the weather vane reveals the trick but its silhouette is nice.

Wel Don deze was me ontglipt.
Ik vind het een onzettend mooi shot, maar ik vraag waarom nou dat gekantelde shot, waarom niet gewoon recht. Maarja dat zal wel aan mij liggen. De kleuren zijn in ieder geval geweldig. Erg goed werk
