Now is the time for christmas-markets with mulled wine and other delicacies.
The market in Deventer takes place at "Brink", in the background "De Waag", built in 1531

Deventer is known for the Charles-Dickens-Festival, held every december in a part of the old town, I wonder why nobody recently showed a photo of this event, which has about 125.000 visitors in two days, so I´ll begin tomorrow with the one or other picture.

Hi Elvira
always a pleasant day when you can capture these winter markets and festivals, and when you can add in the old Dw Waag in the bg it makes for a great photo. Looks very similar to Vancouver weather in winter, rainy and overcast, no snow :)

Hello Elvira,
It's nice to see you posting again, and with such a well taken photo. It combines people and market stalls with a view of the elegant building. The stalls are well illuminated and the Christmas decorations are nicely modest, quite far from Disney World. The many persons make a lively impression and the warm light from the stalls create a fine diagonal and nice reflections in the wet street. As usual it's a very well exposed photo.

Hello Elvira, there is a lovely glow from the illuminated market stalls, making them very inviting.Plus the fairy lights in the trees are very pretty too. De Waag in the background is an alternative focal point.

You captured the festive mood very nicely on this photo. This photo had an atmosphere with the warm lights of the stalls of the vendors. It made me remember why I love these markets.
