Photographer's Note
A wider shot of the outeside wall of the 'vesting' , the most Nothern part of the Holland Water defense line (Hollandse Waterlinie). The current defense town was built during the MiddleAges. But quickly after that attacked and burned down by the Spanish troupes. When rebuilding, two lines of water and walls were built. The French troupes managed to get in though in1672. After they were chased away, an even bigger defense system was built. That's the way it still looks now. Where the munitition used to be stalled is now the showroom of a very famous designer of furniture, some of the cellars are shut of for people and part is turned into a museum. The 'vesting' as a whole is a unique monument of the Dutch defensesystem.

Waht I like about this picture is the sens of the wind, and the yellow grass. That's how I remember the northern part of holland.
It was smart to include the flag. it adds color and motion. I like it Femke.

Saturated colours, well thought composition, the persons and the flag look of the life to this historic decoration. Good shot!
Couleurs saturées, composition bien pensée, les personnages et le drapeau donnent de la vie à ce décor historique. Bien fait.
