This is a summer farm in Endalen in Forollhogna National Park, just as autumn is starting to show its colours in nature...

Summer farms normally have some cultivated land around the houses, and here the farmer usually took advantage of getting some extra grass for the winter feeding of animals.

The little house you see in front is a small barn, a house for storing hay over winter. The construction is the usual - timber logs and a turf roof, all building materials found on location.

Today these small barns - "løe" in Norwegian - are relics and found in numbers around the NP.
