Photographer's Note

After seeing recent posts from Norway and the Lofoten Islands on TE, I feel the need to jump on board as well :)

Obviously this isn't a 'pretty' photo, which is what we usually see from Northern Norway, this is much more gritty and on the unusual side.

What are we looking at here? It's a bus crash involving only 1 bus, no other vehicle, up against Mother Nature. And guess who won...of course its Mother Nature.

I pulled my car over as I noticed this bus sitting on the Sea Bed on earth did it get down there? The tide was out, so i took advantage and headed down to take photos.

As i was taking photos i was approached by a local, which is almost impossible into itself haha, so we started up a conversation.

Long story short is that this bus was peacefully parked on the side of the road as it should be. Mother Nature kicked up a major wind storm, and it sent the parked bus tumbling down the small elevated road into the position it is now.

That must have been one major gust of wind, but thats what the local woman told me. It was a recent storm, the bus hadn't been sitting here more than a week or two.

On the one hand I don't believe her, but on the other hand....why else would there be a bus sitting on the sea bed floor???? And what reason would she have to lie to me? So perhaps its true. For now lets say its a minor mystery.

Anyways, finding this bus with its smashed out windows, left for dead, is exactly the type of subjects I love to find. So it was a good day for me!
