Photographer's Note

We'll remember 2

64 years ago, at the end of January 1945, 'Das Konzentrationen Lager Auschwitz-Birkenau' was abandoned by retreating SS-troops and few days later was taken care off by Red Army.
Certain chapter of human history has ended that day.

In the places like these - will I be able to find an ART (?)
An ART that screams our hearts out. An ART with the power of paralyzing our thoughts. An ART being able to wrench our guts to the point of nausea…?
Yes..I saw it and as soon I saw it I run from it (like some other visitors). I have run, and I haven't stop till I got outside and had a cigarette with my trembling hands.

I saw a human being in there !!!

Thirty-five years passed since the gates of this Nazi slaughtering house were shut down and I saw a human being in there !!!

I decided to answer with an ART upon an ART. I will use all of my senses to level with that unknown sculptor. I will present his art to the world with all I have available to me and to the best of my possibilities.
For shaking me to the ground. For giving me 'unexpected' jolt to the very core of myself.
Our of tremendous respect for the strength of his vision... Of his ART.

I turned around and went back to the barracks…
