Photographer's Note
The name of this town, Pszczyna, must be impossible to pronounce for foreigners...
You have recently seen many photos from Pszczyna: Fis2 has just finished sharing an extensive reportage from this charming little town. My photo is another proof that TrekEarth is all about learning about the world through photography. I have never heard about this place before I came across Fis2 photos. This has actually posed a challenge: it was hard to select something what was not presented by Krzysztof before. I realize I could have selected a close-up to better present the beauty of the architecture but I have chosen this view mainly due to the framing by leaves at the top and by their shadows at the bottom. I was surprised to see many photos (100) from Pszczyna on TrekEarth, but before Krzysztof most of them were let’s say very “artistic” so one could not actually learn anything about the world from them.

Hello Mariusz,
When I was in Poland I could hardly ever pronounce the place names correctly, not even when I repeated what I had just heard :)
There are so many towns in your country that I have never heard of and that are all so beautiful. Like Toruń that I've visited in 2008.
The lines in the pavement lead us here to more beautiful buildings whereby you've searched for a place that let the towers fit in between the overhanging leaves.
Nice with the shadows on the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz, my neighbour
Very nice "postcard" from Pszczyna, taken with perfect pov and sharpness.
Nice blue sky creates a perfect background, of course also the leafs of the tree at the upper parts creates a good framing.
Many interesting and usefull notes as well.
TFS and have a nice weekend.

Hello Mariusz,
It is such an attractive town, which you captured under wonderful light conditions. The buildings and towers on the other side are really charming and I like the frame you included of the overhanging leaves and the shadows on the pavement.

Hello Mariusz,
I see nothing wrong with posting photographs of places, previously posted by different photographers, for we get different interpretations, which in turn affect our own views of scenes and sights.
I particularly like this photograph for its f/g, where the leaves and their shadows, create a beautiful, dark frame for the scene. By contrast, the courtyard is bright and the building, colourful and warm.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Thought how local people pronounce the name of their town, and how lucky I am not having to do so...
A fine take across the big square towards the towers and buildings, Mariusz.
I reckon you taken this from under the trees, and people on the far side are also stayed in the shaded area, must be a hot midday there.
My best regards,
Ike

Bonjour, cher Mariusz,
Une place grandiose pour une architecture de toute beauté.
Il fallait donner de la place pour valoriser l'édifice.
Le résultat est à la hauteur de l'ensemble.
Amitiés.

Mariusz, splendid picture taken under a tree. It shows a big square, a bell tower and a church in the bg. It seems to be a calm little town. Powerful luminosity, sharp post.

liked a lot the wider view with the uise of the leaves above and the view of the buildings ahead. the greel domes in the towers are amazing and very beautiful. nice details of this place whose photos I remember.
the name of the place remind me my polish descendant friend when I was a boy, his surname was druszcz, but I knew how to spell. haha.

Bardzo ladnie Pszczyna sie prezentuje, rzeczywiscie jezyk na supelek dla cudzoziemcow, takze w Pszczynie chrzaszcz brzmi w trzcinie :)

Hello Mariusz,
A lovely town square with good colour, saturation and sharpness I like the shadows at the bottom and the green branches at top acting as a frame and funnelling the eye towards the bg towers. Tfs!

Ciao Mariusz
ottima l'idea di incorniciare le architetture presenti con le foglie in alto e la loro ombra in basso ottenendo una cornice simmetrica.

Hello, Mariusz!
I like the way you framed this view of the square with the silhouettes of the leaves and the shadows on the ground, creating a very nice contrast with the colorful scene! Beautiful architecture captured with excellent light and sharpness! Wonderful composition!

Hi Mariusz.
In these next two months, I will have less time to devote to TE, because I will be very busy preparing a change of address and also a city.
Very beautiful architectural complex at the bottom of the square, where the two different towers stand out, very well those leaves at the top and their shadow on the ground, which seems to frame it.
Very effective color, which highlights the details of the image.
A good management, both of the luminosity, as of the sharpness.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a splendid weekend.
My best wishes for you.
