ABOUT THE PHOTO
It is always a great satisfaction to show on TrekEarth a place for the very first time. I had this pleasure with Kepno, little town in Wielkopolska Region. This is my third photo from Kepno here. This time I show you St Martin Church. This neo-baroque church was consecrated on October 15, 1911.

ABOUT THE TITLE
St Martin reminded me a rough Polish proverb:
“Uczył Marcin Marcina a sam głupi jak świnia.”
Which translates into rather harsh sounding words:
“Martin taught Martin but he is himself stupid like a pig.”
Which basically means that we all make mistakes.

Czesc Mariusz!
Nawet Kepno odwiedziles, znam ten kosciol ale tylko z pogrzebow rodzinnych.
Jakos nie fotografowalem.
A podsunales mi mysl aby kiedys odwiedzic Kepno.
Ladna kompozycja latarni i wiezy, a kwiatki ozdoba tego obrazu.
Podoba mi sie.

Apparently it becomes an annual habit to go to this small but beautiful town in Poland.
Your visits are clearly worthwhile.
This is a very nice combination of colours, of pretty flowers and attractive architecture.
I like the composition with the street lamp put next to the church tower.

Hi Mariusz,the Polish proverb hides a great truth, perfect to put in notes on the theme with the church dedicated to San Martino. A very nice capture of the church tower with its elegant design. It is nicely seen in between the right framing of the orange façade and the lamppost. Also the flowers are a great bonus. Nice play of light and shadows and well-saturated colours also.

Hello Mariusz, a tight composition with the main focus on the elegant church tower.
The lamp, the flowers and the red facade of the building frame the church beautifully. And of course the blue sky background is perfect.

I like this close composition, with all the features clearly revealed and sitting together like a pieces in a jigsaw puzzle.

Mariusz, the white flowers are well included in the fg and add a romantic touch. The church tower dominates the city by its height. Nice architectural details, the blue sky forms a nice background. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Mariusz,
You could call this beautiful picture a still life of the city.
Just as a still life is often a collection of objects displayed on a table, here you have an image bringing together different urban elements.
The church tower, the lanterns, the basket of flowers, a façade with interesting reflection in the windows and a few signs.

A masterful composition, with all the elements very well positioned so that one does not cover the other, ideally that magnificent tower, the lamppost and the hanging flower pot, add great charm to the composition.
